Robert L. Salmon, R. Ph., CDM
President
Robert Salmon has been a Registered
Pharmacist for 42 years and is a Nationally Certified
Disease State Manager in diabetes, asthma and lipid
management. He graduated from the University of
Mississippi in 1967 with BS Pharm. He has been a
consultant to Tallahatchie General Hospital and Extended
Care facility. He was the Chief and first full time
pharmacist at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at
Parchman. He is President of Southern Discount Drugs
of Charleston and the Diabetic Shoppe.
He began managing the care of diabetic patients in 1995
and founded the mail-order supply business out of a need
of patients in the North Mississippi area. Business has
since grown to Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee and
Louisiana.
Robert is a clinical instructor with the University
of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and enjoys educating
patients on subjects concerning the management of their
diabetes. In 2005, Mr. Salmon received the
Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award from the
Mississippi Pharmacy Association. In 2006 he was elected
2nd Vice-President of the Mississippi Pharmacy
Association and in 2008 elected Presicent. |
